How Do Cleaning Cloth Work

Because of the makeup of the microfibers, using microfiber cloths for cleaning can make housekeeping both easier and more effective.
Cloths not made from microfiber tend to push dirt and gunk around on surfaces, so cleaning can be a real bear. The beauty of microfiber cloths is that the split fibers they're made up create more surfaces that can hook onto dirt, dust and even bacteria. Many viruses are a bit too small to be scooped up by microfibers, but still a cloth with fibers so small it can snag bacteria is pretty impressive. Because of this, you can use microfiber cloths for cleaning many surfaces with nothing more than water.
Have you ever wiped down your kitchen counter with a cotton cloth and then had to go back over it with a paper towel to get rid of the moisture and left-behind debris? Well, microfiber can be used dry, so you eliminate the need for that second round of swiping. As if that wasn't exciting enough, polyester and fats play well together, which means microfiber is great for lifting grease and oil off surfaces without the aid of strong chemical cleaning agents.

When To Use a Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

They're incredibly absorbent and gentle, so they work on all kinds of messes and surfaces. They're even useful for sanitizing.
Using microfiber rags eliminates up to 99 percent of bacteria about three times the effectiveness of traditional cleaning cloths. This is why many hospitals have converted to microfiber cloths, towels and mops. The microfiber doesn't kill germs you'll need a disinfecting cleaner for that but it picks them up and removes them with ease.
That's biggest consideration when cleaning with microfiber cloths. For example, many people use suede-like microfiber cloths to clean laptop screens, camera lenses, or a pair of glasses.Rougher cloths are better for grimy surfaces like toilets and sinks.

Cleaning Cloth is the Ultimate Multi-Purpose Cleaning Tool

Dusting
Compared to regular cleaning cloths, microfiber cloths lift and trap a lot more dust and dirt, which allows quicker and simpler daily dusting. Use a dry microfiber towel to dust furniture and other surfaces, then use a damp one to get rid of grime or stubborn dust.

Kitchen Cleaning
Microfiber cloths can be used to clean appliances, cabinet doors, countertops, and ceiling fans. To remove dirt, grease, and grime, fold your cloth into sections. Wet one section, then switch to a dry section for shine and polishing. Because microfiber won't scratch the finish, it is even safe to use on stainless steel surfaces.

Window Cleaning
The inside of windows must be wiped clean of dirt and smudges using a damp microfiber cloth before being shined and buffed with a dry one. Use a garden hose to clean external windows.

Cleaning Gadgets
A dry microfiber cloth will get rid of grime and fingerprints on your phone, tablet, laptop, and other electronics without the risk of using water. You can add some Disinfectant spray or All Purpose Spray to dampen the cloth before wiping for more stubborn dust accumulation.

Toilet

It’s important to use the toilet cloth only for cleaning the toilet bowl so that the bacteria are not spread onto other surfaces. Use a Microfibre Toilet Cleaning Cloth for cleaning the toilet bowl, a Microfibre Bathroom Cleaning Cloth for the bathroom sink and the tiles, and a Microfibre Window Cleaning Cloth for the mirror.

Bathroom

In the bathroom, removing limescale is the most difficult task. The coarse side of the Microfibre Bathroom Cleaning Cloth removes limescale and grease build-up without scratching the surface. The soft side polishes and dries efficiently. The absorbent cloth absorbs up to four times its weight in water, so it’s perfect for drying bathroom surfaces.

Living room and bedrooms

For other surfaces at home, we recommend using a Microfibre Universal Cleaning Cloth that binds dust effectively when dry, and removes dirt and grease with water alone.

Couple Basic 'rules' for Cleaning Cloths

First things first, check the care labe–See that what I'm using is available but these instructions are general and work for most cleaning cloths.
A common misconception with any cleaning cloth that you wash and reuse is that it might not be clean or that you might spread germs around from the cloth as you clean. The thing with microfiber is that its 'micro' fibers actually grab the dirt and germs and holds on to them in lieu of spreading them around.

Here are a couple basic'rules' for washing cleaning cloths
Microfiber can be rinsed and wrung out as you are using it–Don't just wipe once (unless it's toilets or something especially germy/dirty). Rinse, wring out, and continue using.

Find a place to hold the microfiber while it's drying and before you have a load to wash. I keep a bucket in my cleaning closet for any cloths that are really wet and then once they are dry or damp I toss dirty microfiber cloths in a wire basket. If a cloth is wet I drape it over the side of the bucket until it's dry and then I place it in the basket. Dusting cloths don't get mixed into this bucket, this bucket is for bathroom cleaning cloths so there isn't cross-contamination.

Wash microfiber only with other microfiber cloths. If you put other laundry items in the washing machine with your microfiber it turns into a static magnet–Just avoid that altogether by washing microfiber all by itself. Most of my cleaning cloths are from the bathroom and can be washed separately if necessary.

Launder with an enzyme-based detergent–This is crucial because it breaks down any dirt and grime and ensures that you don't have anything left lingering in the cloths once they're clean and dry. Both my Laundry Detergent Spray and Super Powder have enzymes in them.

Do not use fabric softener–It coats the fibers and can inhibit the cleaning cloths' effectiveness. I recommend using 1/4 cup white vinegar as a 'fabric softener' with regular laundry and it works well with cleaning cloths too. Don't worry, no scent remains!

Wash on WARM–Most germs and microorganisms are killed at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. I wash my microfiber that needs to be sanitized on HOT or sanitize. You can look up your particular washing machine or brand and see what temperature the hot and sanitize cycles get to and decide what's best for you. (As a general rule, washing on warm and drying on low to medium will kill the germs in your cleaning cloths, but if you need to sanitize, it will need to be warmer.)

Production Process of Microfiber Cleaning Cloth

A. Knitting
Fiber yarns are knitted into a blank fabric by circular knitting machines. The knitting comes out in a circular shape, so you need to do a belly-breaking action to get it into a whole fabric.

B. Dyeing
Once the yarn is knitted into a blank, we need to load the blank into a dyeing tank for dyeing.
a) The material of Needle Two (100% polyester) is sewn together by sewing machine before entering the dyeing tank (because the length of each batch of blank fabric is limited), after entering the tank, the color mixing dye is heated up to 130 degrees and the temperature is kept at a constant temperature for 3-4 hours (the length of time is decided according to the material and color). After the time is reached, we will leave the tank and use the dewatering machine to dry, and then use the machine to unfold the cloth that is twisted together, and finally use the machine to set the shape at high temperature to make the fabric flat. If the color requirement is high, we have to go back to the new clear water tank to rinse the dye before shaking it dry to get rid of the excess dye or unstable color material attached to the surface. If the color requirement of the fabric is particularly high, we have to use clear water to rinse after all the process is finished (that is, after the high-temperature setting), use the color fixing agent to treat inside the dyeing tank, and then come out of the tank to shake dry, after spreading the fabric, low-temperature setting, so that the treated fabric will not lose color even if it is tested in alcohol.

b) Needle One (80% polyester and 20% nylon) and island silk (100% polyester): Before dyeing with needle two, we have to do an open fiber treatment first. It is to put the blank into the alkali pool at 130 degrees for about 30 minutes so that the fibers of the blank explode (needle one is to destroy the nylon silk, and the island silk is to break the wall of each island-loaded fiber) so that the surface of the fabric is more fluffy, the feel will be more blended.

c) Double-sided velvet: The whole process is the most complicated. Before dying, we have to do an open fiber treatment (as we mentioned at the door, the purpose of this is to make the surface of the fabric more fluffy, the feel will be more blended), then in the dyeing tank dyeing, after reaching the specified time and temperature out of the tank dehydration, and then spread the cloth for shaping, and then back to the dyeing tank to re-shape (because the previous action will make the fabric is stretched and deformed), and finally absorb the wool and rolled pile.

C. Brushing
The fabric will do the brushing treatment on the fabric after dyeing. That is the surface of the fiber filaments with machine friction, the surface of its destruction, so as to produce fine fluff so that the surface of the microfiber fabric is softer.

D. Flocking absorption
It is to suck away the lint/flocking and dust that are completely worn off during the grinding process so that the fabric is cleaner and tidier.

E. Rolling
The fabric should be rolled in time to be neatly stacked in a roll, otherwise, there will be many wrinkles on the surface of the fabric.

How To Clean A Kitchen Cleaning Cloth

Kitchen cleaning cloth is very useful for cleaning the dust and oil on the kitchen stove at home. For longer life and cleaning power, it is important to carefully clean the kitchen cleaning cloth separately from other items, hand wash the kitchen cleaning cloth with clean water, or wash it in the washing machine with laundry detergent. To dry microfiber cloths, hang them to air dry to prevent them from accumulating lint in the dryer. By properly cleaning your kitchen cleaning cloth, they will last hundreds of uses!

Hand rinse a small amount of used kitchen cleaning cloth
1. Put the dirty cloth in a clean bucket filled with cold or lukewarm water. Throw in the cloth and let them soak for a few minutes.
Hand washing is best for cleaning kitchen cleaning cloths used to clean dry debris, such as dusting. For dirtier cloths or those used to wipe up spills, you'll need to machine wash them.
Tip: Always wash kitchen cleaning cloth separately from other items.

2. Move the cloth by hand in the water to release the dirt. Rotate the kitchen cleaning cloths in the bucket to loosen the dust and other grime they have accumulated. You only need to do this for a minute or two.
Do not use cleaners or any other cleaning products in this method. To remove dust and light grime, all you need is clean water and a little stirring.

3. Rinse the cloth with cold water and wring out the excess water. Take each cloth out and run it under the faucet to rinse off any remaining dust and grime. Wring out any excess water to prevent the fabric from dripping.
If this doesn't remove dirt and dust from the cloth, then you'll need to wash them in the washing machine to clean them thoroughly.

4. Hang up the kitchen cleaning cloths and let them air dry. Hang each cloth separately from other items on a hanger or clothesline. Wait until they are completely dry before using them for cleaning.

FAQ

Q: What is the use of cleaning cloth?

A: Explanation: Cleaning cloth can clean different types of dirt usually a dust or a particle. Cleaning cloth is soft thus it cannot damage your eye glasses or any type of glass surfaces that is very sensitive of rough fabrics.

Q: What is the meaning of cleansing cloth?

A: The Cleansing Cloth is bacteria-resistant fabric meaning it is more hygienic than standard facecloths. All traces of make-up and cleansing residue is rinsed away immediately when placed under water pressure leaving it clean to re-use time and time again.

Q: What is the best type of cleaning cloth?

A: Because it lasts longer than cotton and stays effective after hundreds of launderings it can even save you money. Microfiber cleans great on it's own so all you need is water to effectively clean surfaces, you won't need to buy as many cleaning chemicals.

Q: Can you wash a cleaning cloth?

A: Microfiber cloths can be machine-washed for convenience or if the fabric is excessively dirty or stained. Do not wash microfiber cleaning cloths with other types of fabric. Other fabrics can ruin the fibers of your microfiber cleaning cloths, abrading the fibers and leaving lint on the microfiber surface.

Q: Where are cleaning cloths kept between uses?

A: These cloths are to be stored in a sanitizing solution between uses. Moist cloths used for cleaning non-food-contact surfaces of equipment such as counters, dining table tops and shelves are to be stored in a sanitizing solution between uses and are to be used only for this purpose.

Q: What are reusable cleaning cloths?

A: Most common are reusable cloths, which must be laundered after every use. When handled correctly, these cloths can last 100 to 1,000 washings. Disposable cloths, on the other hand, are typically pre-saturated with cleaning solution and should be discarded after a single use.

Q: What are cleaning cloths made of?

A: Oftentimes they're made of a blend of polyester and polyamide or nylon. In short, this means the cloths are made of plastic. The polyester and polyamide are combined in such a way that the fibers are split. In addition to creating more fiber surfaces with which to clean, this makes the cloths very porous.

Q: Can you wash cleaning cloths with other clothes?

A: Wash separately:Always wash heavily soiled, germ-ridden items like mop heads, cleaning cloths (especially for kitchen or bathroom) or items that are contaminated with bodily fluids in a separate load from regular laundry. Rinse solid matter out of items before washing as much as possible.

Q: How long does a cleaning cloth last?

A: How Long Do Microfiber Cloths Last? One of the benefits of cleaning with microfiber is that it lasts a long time. Many microfiber cloths can take up to 500 washings. That's up to two years in a typical household.

Q: Can I wash cleaning cloths with towels?

A: For germ-infested kitchen and bathroom items like mop heads, dish towels, and cleaning cloths, wash them as a separate load from regular laundry. One thing suggested was to rinse food particles and solid matter out of the towels and rags before putting them in the washer.

Q: How often should cleaning cloths be disinfected?

A: If using reusable cloths make sure they are thoroughly washed, disinfected and dried between tasks (not just when they look dirty). Using dirty cloths can spread bacteria very easily. Dirty cloths should be washed in a washing machine on a hot cycle or boiled to ensure they are clean.

Q: Where should cleaning cloths be stored?

A: Cloths that are not dry (except those used once and then laundered) must be stored in a sanitizer solution of ade- quate concentration between uses.

Q: Are reusable cleaning cloths sanitary?

A: Coth towels can quickly and easily become contaminated at significant levels. Why are cloths unsafe? Unclean cloths may have high bacterial load and allergens. Improper cleaning, washing, disinfecting and drying can increase the risk of contamination.

Q: When should I replace my cleaning cloth?

A: Replace cloths on a regular basis, especially if frayed or torn; Colour code your cleaning cloths for the different areas and chemicals that they are being used for; Wash the dish cloth out after each use, using hot water and detergent.

Q: Can you wash microfiber cloth with just water?

A: Hand washing is often the most straightforward cleaning method, and with microfiber cloths all you need is water! Run the dirty microfiber cloth under cool or warm (not hot) water, and rub the microfiber between your fingers to help release the dirt and grime. Rinse well and leave to air-dry.

Q: How do bacteria spread using a cleaning cloth?

A: Using dirty cloths can spread bacteria and allergens very easily. Cloths that are not dried properly can increase the risk of bacteria. A hot wash cycle will clean the cloths thoroughly and kill bacteria (disinfect).

Q: How do you maintain cleaning cloths?

A: It's a simple as: Washing your cleaning cloths as often as you use them: If your routine involves a weekly wash, you should stop, immediately. Cloths should be used and then washed to make sure they stay fresh and so that your supply of clean cloths never runs out.

Q: How do you sanitize cleaning cloths?

A: Wash on HOT or sanitize – most germs and microorganisms are killed at 140 degrees Fahrenheit. I wash my microfiber that needs to be sanitized on HOT or sanitize.

Q: What not to do with microfiber cloths?

A: The fibers are too clogged! So while there's a time and place for fabric softener, dryer sheets, and scented laundry products (if that's your thing), skip fabric softener and dryer sheets altogether when it comes to washing any microfiber product.

Q: Can I use dish soap to clean microfiber cloth?

A: Fill up your sink or a bucket with warm water. Add 3-5 tablespoons of clear liquid detergent, dish soap, or microfiber cleaning solution. Mix the two together until the mixture has a soapy consistency. Put the microfiber towel in the soapy water.
